Heading to Fork Friday Sat Sunday. Any advice on where the bass are biting would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking they would be in the creeks if the shad are up there. Anybody catching any and on what?

Lots of baits working but backs of creeks are best for me early and late.Top waters, flukes, and chatter baits working good. Midday some Carolina rig fish in 10-19 ft on points and creek bends.Jig bite is getting better on big wood also. Viper XP jigs in 6-10 ft on the edge of the creeks in my sour grape/pb&j 3/8 oz Viper XP jig. Good Luck.

To expand on the jig bite a little, in areas where we've caught the little fish, just here recently we've been able to throw a 3/8 oz. jig with a havoc pit boss as a trailer and catch good solid slot fish along the outside edge of the alligator grass. I've been using mpack flipping jig in spring craw with a green pumpkin trailer. I like to trim the skirt down to just below the hook and trim the pit boss to where the arms start right where the skirt stops. Most of the bites have been near points just on the sides with the grass on them. This is a great jig bite to learn and develop confidence in the jig. It's a simple technique and a lot like fishing a grass edge with a tx rig, which we've all done. So if you want to learn to throw a jig, go to fork and do this and you might just catch your personal best as well.

Shallow docks and flooded willows are still loaded with fish. Also don't be afraid to swim your Texas rig or jig out from under the docks. Getting bites like that even if they do not eat it on the bottom. Moving baits around docks have been good too despite the fronts and all. Really surprised at how aggressive the bite has been still. I figured these fronts would slow it down a bit until things settled down. They are still eating pretty good.

I think these fronts in the fall help the bite as opposed to spring...
Deep bite on Mark Pack spoons have caught every kind of fish in the lake except a carp for me.
