It was windy today but the fish did not seem to care. They did shut down for about an hour when the front passed through, but they started back up. The sunfish were at about 6 feet in 10 foot water. The bite was slow. I caught 18 before I stopped counting. The fish are exceptionally well fed. All this high water seems to agree with them.
Now for the bonus: I caught an 11 pound 6 ounce Buffalo and a 12 1/2 inch channel cat. They were caught on a medium action rod, not the ultralight gear. I found a cute toy which beeps when the line is pulled, and I set it out with sweet dough bait while I fished with the ultralight rod. The beeper really works.
