I read a post several months ago about cleaning cork handles with Mr. Clean pads and that worked well. I don't remember what was recommended to treat the cork once it is clean. Any ideas? Thank you in advance, Joel

I use bleach and it looks new after that. Just pour it on and wash it off with water. Has no effect on the cork other than makes it very clean and new looking. You can also put it on a white rag and rub it on the cork also.

I spray mine with "Tuff Stuff" which is a carpet and upholstery cleaner I also use in the truck.

Foams up, wipes off. Looks like new.

I believe some people seal their cork handle rods with some type of spray on waterproof sealant. But im not sure, I have never bothered to clean mine

I usually use Simple Green and a Scotch-Brite pad with warm water to clean my cork handles. I have not sealed cork but the most frequent product I see used is U-40 Cork Seal - $4.99 available at Tackle Warehouse and other retailers.

I use dish soap and warm water on a rag. They'll look like new afterward.

Same here. Have yet to find anything better. Also does not dry out the cork like some cleaners can.

Alcohol and a paper or cloth towel whichever you like best. Makes it look new again. I do not seal the cork.

That's what scares me about alcohol and bleach and most cleaners. . .I don't want to dry and crack my cork. . .
