Do you guys prefer a particular style? Like auto inflate or others?

I primarily use an auto-inflate PFD, especially on the relatively benign middle Brazos where I paddle most; you can't beat the comfort, it's like you're not wearing one. I just bought an NRS Chinook, though, from Mountain Sports which I plan to use for cold weather lakes and BTB, and not so benign rivers like the Pecos or Devils.

I use the NRS Chinook that I also bought from Mountain Sports. It is very comfortable and has a lot of pockets and and attachment places for lanyards.

Mustang Auto inflate until mid fall then Stolquist Fisherman until water and air temps warm up in the spring.

Mustang inflatable when it is warm out, MTI Dorado for colder weather. I prefer the MTI just for the neoprene shoulder straps the one I have is discontinued and would be replaced by the DIO.

NRS Chinook all the way, all the time. I feel weird if I'm not wearing it on the water. Very comfortable and lots of storage space for your camera, gear, whistle, etc.

I use the NRS Chinook also. I love it. Lots of pockets for storage for gear, phone, etc. Multiple places to attach a lanyard or a net. I actually won it in a contest that Robert Field put on. Don't win much, but I'm sure glad I won that Chinook!

NRS Chinook unless it's hot, then a Mustang inflatable.
