All, please mark your calendars for Saturday December 5, 2015 for a upcoming free event, Trout 101, at the Brazos River below the Possum Kingdom Tailrace. We will meet at the State Highway 16 bridge at 9:00am
No waders required as instructors will be on the river banks teaching trout techniques for catching rainbow trout.
There will be a regular state stocking of Rainbows prior to the event, so we expect a good catch for beginners.
You won't need any equipment or flies. CCI's and other instructors will be present for training.

Lunch will be provided, as well there will be a tour of the hatchery there below the dam.

Bring a friend.

On the FFF website under the Trout 101 post it says "Invitations have been sent out to all North Texas Fly Fishing clubs, and out on various social media sites. Please reserve your spot today by contacting us at: ..." which is probably why people have been asking to register.

Is everything still on for this Saturday, just wanted to double check! Pretty excited!

The trout were stocked Thursday. The gate on the dam is closed. They are still releasing some water but it is pretty much at normal flow. People were wading today.

The event was huge success - we counted over 75 in attendance. Although the bite was lax, fish were caught, and fun was had. We are grateful to all the volunteers and the staff at the Sate hatchery for an educational day for all.
