Wanna catch some flounder which I suck at. Bouncing an artificial so slowly is so contrary to fishing a lure for any other fish. So it's hard to adapt haha.

tandem rig some gulps for a quick limit. They were using one white and one pink effectively. bring a drop net if you fish from the pier.

Search for Brian McPherson on YouTube and ask him.
He goes there often.

But with the cold fronts coming now, you'll need to adapt to the slow presentation.

I forget which fishing guide said it, but: "If you're going slow, slow down further"
(or something like that)

Remember from November 1st through December 14th, the limit is 2 only.
Good luck.

If you want to wade, try the bay side and the channel side. Both hold flounder but I've found one usually holds more with the wind and tide. Just look for the other waders and follow their lead. Easy to catch a limit and lots of flats without rocks on the bay side (north), more rocks on the channel next to ship.
If you will bank or pier fish then the first part of the pier or the rocks closest to the pier is best. The flounder like to hold next to rocks and on the flats next to pier. You can see one of Brian's videos from the rocks.
As for bait, live is always best no matter what, but you can throw out a line and let it soak and hope to get a bite or you can throw it out and jig it back. Then of course there is the all too famous Gulp. Any color seems to work for me over there but had more on white lately. Just tandem rig two jigs, 1/4 oz on bottom and 1/8oz on top. "jig" it back to you slowly popping it every couple of seconds. If you fish the rocks reel in fast when you get close to bank or you will hang up for sure and be re-rigging all the time.
Good luck.

I fished with Brian since he was kid... and he loves company. I remember when he and his brother were talked into swallowing some shiners and got sick on the boat. Aside from that, He's gotta brag and talk chit to somebody, lol.

Limit of 2, must be over 14" long. I have personally witnessed numerous people at SW taking more than the legal limit, and under the legal length. TPWD NEEDS to post a warden there every Sat and Sun during the run and catch these people breaking the law. It's such a hotspot that I'm amazed they don't.

They are there and frequently catch people filling their coolers in the parking lot. Some folks have been followed home and had their garage freezers checked too. Still, this doesn't curb the poaching.
