I had a fun today. I tried some new to me techniques and tied a few flies. So, what did you guys do today?

This is a pinkish shrimpy looking dubbing that I blended and then spun on a needle and coated in head cement.

I made a tail for my damsel fly the same way. The black bands where made with a sharpie and then I coated it with head cement. I learned this from one of Norms videos on YouTube.

I made some fabric paint eyes.

I tied The Clem Kadittle

I tied some Bluegill Candy.

Here's a Dragonfly.

Good stuff there. Especially those fabric paint eyes. That's a medium as-yet unexplored by self.
Me? I've pretty much got a onetrack mind, Bluegill Candy off and on all day.

Wow HMK, you are a tying machine. You are experimenting with so many different patterns and materials and the results are showing. Well done thumb

Only problem I see is you spend too much time tying and not enough time fishing, LOL!!! If you want someone to test them out for you then send me a case or 2 of them to lose in the tree limbs. roflmao

Thanks for sharing

I remember when you were asking newbie questions in the jig tying section. You dived head in on the tying. Now I am learning from your post. Great job.
