I primarily target white, hybrids, and striper so I am posting Here as opposed the equipment forum. I have heard that there are people that give on the lake tutorials to help people increase their knowledge and capabilities to get the most out of their electronics.

Has anyone done this and was it beneficial? I would also appreciate recommendations.

Thanks

These guys fish with Humminbird units and offer great learning trips! Michael guides primarily on Lake Livingston, but his brother Chris lives near Dallas and guides near there. They put me steps and steps ahead after learning from them! They know their Humminbird side scan! They will take you out in their boat and teach you, or hop in your boat and set yours up and teach you on your own stuff!

God Bless!

Slade Dougharty does the same on Fork and Tawok. I think. Everyone says he is the guru for helping to learn your electronics. I plan on calling him soon myself. His nymber is;

I also do instructional trips on my boat or yours. Only takes about two hours and I charge $150. Satisfaction guaranteed. They are not fishing trips. So when we're done with the lesson, you may fish then.

I will also upload some great waypoints/GPS to your unit to get you started.

Three submerged boat ramps in 14 ft of water. South East of the island cut about 50 yard maybe 100?

Far right of the screen would be shallow water close to the shoreline 7 to 9 foot. The bottom where the tall white brush pile is, it's about 18 foot.

The top boat ramp is broken up and has a severe crack down the middle of it

Boat ramp to, the middle one, on the left side at the bottom of the ramp which is the deepest part, is a big brush pile. Surrounding this boat ramp or boulders just like you see while you're packing your boat down. Surrounding the boat ramp or boulders to keep the waves from washing the foundation out.

Then you have the bottom boat ramp which is pretty plain. It has a very small brush pile on the right side, which would be the shallow side of the boat ramp.

After I side scanned these boat ramps, in the picture I would not be fishing here as there's no popcorn popping out on the boat ramps. Crappie and Sandies show most of the time like white dots.

Sometimes you're not looking for the white dots. In the picture below you see shadows mainly.

This is too small submerged trees about 4 foot 5 foot tall spider do this is too small submerged trees about 4 foot 5 foot tall spidered out in a way. All the shadows are 12 to 14 inch Crappie. This is a money maker tree. Produces 10 to 15 fish on average almost daily. Awesomeness. Problem with this what is Tommy knows where it is. LOL

Shad come to the surface to feed at night and spread out. This is what it will look like pretty much every morning. Very very annoying. As the sun comes up the screen will clear up as they start balling up and sinking down water column.

How to fish road beds, video below.

Below is that's Lake Ray Hubbard. If you see this on your screen, I bet you're having a Ton of fun.

That's 90% hybrid stripers, the smaller dots are the sand bass.

After that small lesson, below is a picture in a creek. Which side of the creek would you fish?
