Freezer went out. 15 bags of crappie in there. Only two had thawed a little. Others were hard as a rock. Ok to refreeze? Anyone know of a freezer alarm that will tell you when it loses power?

Sounds like a fish fry. Throw them on Ice until you find a freezer. That should keep them frozen.

I would refreeze them, shouldn't be an issue.

I don't have an alarm but is something I think about from time to time. An alarm would probably be aGood investment.

Sometimes GFI's get weak. You might need to replace the GFI

If that freezer alarm would send an alert to your phone, they would really have something!

I would change it out for a regular plug if that's what was where my freezer was. If not plug a smal radio in on same outlet freezer is plugged into and leave it on 24/7. Least when you go in the garage and you don't hear the radio anymore you know it tripped. But personally I would change it out. It's gonna happen again if you don't.

Man 15 bags of crappie in the freezer! Don't let your father in law get them, he'll clean you out. They are on fire at lake Nac. You need to go!
