We started fishing again in Pedasi last week and the first group of the season had a blast ! Panama Tuna Coast delivered once again with lots of action and variety. The Brazilian team of 3 fished 100% on popper and jigs and were very pleased with the results. Despite over 15 fishing trips to Panama between them 3, they had their best days of inshore fishing in Pedasi with Panafishing and decided this was the place to go to for popping and jigging. The first day started with 6 roosters on jig, some nice sized amberjacks, small YFT, sierras, jacks, pompanos, rainbow runners, a grouper and various snappers, and sadly 2 huge cuberas and what was probably a monster grouper were lost. In the end, a lot of really big fish were lost: half a dozen of really big cuberas, 2 roosters that must have been over 50-60 pounds, 3 huge groupers and a striped marlin (on popper !). One must come prepared with some strong line and heavy drag if they want to get the really big ones out there. Our new friend Cuca managed to get 2 cubera to the boat, including a really big one. Well done, this has to be the toughest fish to land on popper.

I joined the boat on the last day. Since I am a bit of a black cat this had to be the slowest day and the action was not as consistent as the other days, but I got for myself a noice bunch of species and it was really nice to be back on the waters of Pedasi.

I am going to Panama close to Santiago de veraguas. I am interested in some fishing around December.
