What are some good videos on Lowrance HDS gen 2 graphs, such as youtube videos. I have some of it figured out but I feel like I am still not as good as I should be with reading the graphs. I was able to find some piles and located them with jigs, but I am still having trouble on discerning fish on side view. I may need to tweak the sensitivity

Structure scan isn't the best tool to locate fish, especially if you have the range extended to 100' or 120' etc. Don't feel discouraged if you can't easily identify fish, it's very common. If I look hard enough I can see the fish and their shadows below(easiest way to find fish is if they're suspended), but I mainly use side imaging to locate structure and cover where I feel fish will be located. 2d sonar or down imaging is the best to identify fish. Try finding the structure and cover, then idle over it with 2d or down imaging; you'll see fish much better this way.

Thank you, I will give that a try next time I am out. Makes sense

It is the best money I have spent since I put power poles and the new electronics on the boat. Slade is fantastic. He set up my electronics to where it looks just like the demo's. I didn't think my graphs would look like they do. Thank You Slade.

Not meant to be a jerk but you are here asking for help and saying you do better figuring them out yourself. It would be much quicker and easier to book with Slade and know in one day what you might take a year to figure out if at all. having him fine tune the settings and explaining everything to you is worth every penny

To be honest I was hoping some one may know of some helpful videos or have some tips that way I wouldn't have to pay for a trip. And if i am still unable to figure it out with any pointers i do receive i would book someone. I just want to spend some productive time on my own before i go out and book someone, because at least then i will really know what i still struggle with and it would make the lesson a lot more efficient.

Just do a web search for Lowrance Side Scan and you will find dozens of how-to videos that will help you.

In all honesty, you will be money ahead to take a trip with Slade. Less frustration and more fishing time.

Does somebody have Slade's Number and where is he located? I would like to get rid of some of these frustrations I am going through now!
