Everything above pilot creek is dead and floating. Stinks like a raw sewage. I reported it to TPWD.

I live in the Shores subdivision, north of the golf course and not too far south of the PowerLines. I am right on the water. Saturday morning. When I left early to head to another lake, there was a VERY strong smell like sewage. Very strong. Something must have spilled into the river and washed south.

Wonder if there was some illegal dumping going on there.

That sucks. I hope it doesn't affect the rest of the lake.

I'm a mile east of the Pilot split and the water behind my camp, out in the flats is the same...stagnant looking, black and foul smelling. With all the recent rain and falling leaves/flooded vegetation, I imagine it's a bad by-product of nature...at least I hope it is.

What lake does it flow into Ray Hubbard or Hubbard Creek or something else? it is the river that flows into the upper end of Ray Hubbard from Lavon dam. Saturday AM it had the distinct smell of raw sewage for sure, didn't smell like rotting vegetation or anything like that, it smelled like raw sewage from a treatment plant. Seems like they built a treatment plant not far from there, just S of eastfork at Lavon? I hope it didn't spill but that is definitely what it smelled like.

Those pictures all look like the same small area and same fish? If it is small local kill it could be some type of r outing flooded vegetation that put off a toxin. We had a few places out here that had small kills in specific area and the biologist said it was caused by flooded dying plants and lack if O2
