But I manage to catch a few. I ended up with 15 solid fish by the end of the day. On most lakes that would be considered a pretty good day but not on Athens, especially considering the fact that I was catching 30 to 40 fish a trip about a month ago when they were schooling really good.It started out kinda slow, caught 1 dink early and then went about 2hrs without a bite. Fished a jig and a Texas ridged worm in the grass edges and nothing. C rigged a few wind blown points.Fished windblown grass flats with a soft jerkbait, sometimes right against bank.Nothing.Finally went to the backs of certain creeks and BAMM.Started throwing a weightless wacky rigged senko about 15 to 20ft in front of the grass and submerged pads and it was on.You had to fish it real slow almost deadsticking it. I the blue bird skies and high pressure had them not wanting to chase anything. Most fish were solid 2.5 to 3 ponders. Did catch 1 that probably was a tad over 4. It was still a tough day, bites were not consistent.A few bites here and there but when they did bite they were good fish and they were eating the senko like candy.Sometimes the tough bite good as it forces us to be better and try different presentations. It doesn't always work out but it did today.

Was out there Sunday. Absolutely smoked em on a spinner bait early for about two hours early by the dam. Partner was smoking them on a swim bait. They were not schooling, just a large school of them. After the sun popped thru it shut off. It was picking one off here and there the rest of the day. The fish were definitely patterned three to five feet in front of any grass line.

Yep,,,,,,we did it on shad colored crank baits in 15ft of water just off the weed beds down at the dam.
