Joe Pool is my home lake and I fish it often. Saturday morning I started at the dam and fished around the next several points. I was throwing a tomato red trick worm on a shaky head, a red snake-o weightless, and a another reddish trick worm on a c-rig. For whatever reason, I have always done well with red baits on Joe Pool, not mater what I happen to be using. Anyway, I had caught several, the largest being about 1.5 lbs or so. Some other fishermen came up near me and started fishing. They were close to my age I guess, between 45 and 60. As we got near we talked. They said this was their first time on Joe Pool and did I have any tips. I told them how red has always worked good for me. One of the guys starting going through the tackle box as I moved on down the shoreline. A few minutes later he caught what looked like about a 2 lb bass. He was very excited and held it up for me to see shouting "THANK YOU, I tied on a red shad." He seemed very excited as he held it up while the other guy took his picture,. I was as excited for the guy as he was. That is why I share what I can with others--that guy made my day!

For what it's worth...

I think this way. Haha. I've practically spelled out, in detail, how we won the big bass tourney a few weeks ago with a 7.75 and I also spelled out exactly what I used and where I caught 6 overs, 1 under, and around a dozen slots last Friday. Lol.

I don't care about keeping secrets. Well....unless attorney is coming up quick. Then I might wait till after. Lol

I'm the same way. I like to fish and if I can help some one out I dont see the harm in it. We're all there for the same purpose...to catch fish. A little help and getting a little help is all apart of fishing in my book.

So many fisherman on here have helped me, either directly or indirectly. I have given away handfuls of soft plastics at the landing plenty of times. My wife still laughs at how excited I get when SHE catches a nice fish. Most of you know what I mean.

thumb, some of my favorite trips are taking buddies out on my home lake and being able to put them on fish. Took a good friend of mine out back in july and he kicked my butt out of the back of the boat. But it was an awesome day. I don't have a whole wealth of information yet, but I try to share what I know if I think it can help someone else
