Looks like a Gamakatsu Skip Gap. Good hooks

Yup, one of those hooks for "skipping" worms or plastics. Supposed to help keep the plastic from sliding off as it skips.

IMHO those hooks have a fatal flaw.the ones I bought are made from a small diameter.They will bend outward from the barb to the shank thus allowing for a lot of larger fish to come off.

Catch smaller fish and you won't have that problem Jerry.. grin

Yes, as mentioned, a Gamakatsu Skip Jack Hook. I use them for one application with a specific fluke I use. Walmart use to carry them. TW does also.

watched it happen a few weeks ago....4 pounder straightened my dads hook and it slid right out
