Had a couple of these around for a long time and had them painted, but just never tied one until yesterday. Anyway I just keep looking at is and trying to decide if I want more of these and what size as this is a 1/16. I do have a 1/32 as well and will tie that one too just to see how it looks. Anyway here is one I tied and please tell me what you think? Also I can not get this flash to show up like I wanted it to! Skip

I think the ball head jig is the best ever day jig head there is. But, all of the other jig heads do have a place in crappie fishing. But all are for a type of jigging that is not there ever day. The jig in the picture the thing is how is it better than ball or fish head? Got to admit it does make a nice looking jig and looks like it may be front heavy and that is good. As the head would be down in the water, so the hook point would be up. Would be good for hook setting and the eye and line would act to protect the point from hang ups. Good Luck There would be a number of people that likes it on looks along.

I like it Skip. The balance should be just right to hang horizontal.

Skip, you know me and Blue & Chartreuse and as always your "Fit & Finish" is the BEST! I have those heads in 1/8oz, 1/16oz, 1/32oz & 1/48oz I think but haven't thought about them much. After the comments above, I may tie a few in my best Winter combos just to see how they do. As for your flash not showing up, it seems to me that when you use that white background, every element of your jigs really POP, like in this post and this one BTW, aren't these chub head's but with eye socket's?

Thanks guys I really appreciate the feed back!
Pepop I understand what your saying and I did take like 5 pictures on the White background, but this flash doesn't show up like it does in hand. Not even close! That is why I said what I did about that. This stuff has lots of crosswise lines and really shines big time!

I dug out a few heads I had gathering dust and slapped some powder paint on them. Here's a 1/8oz with a #1 Red Sickle hook in my Go-To combination for Lake Palestine I'm gonna tie some Joe Dirt on this head too plus a few 1/16oz. BTW, I put it on a loop of fishing line and though it does hang fairly horizontal, it still hangs slightly "Head Up", which is perfectly fine with me.

Vern, I like the way you just "slapped" the paint on that jig. Nice looking jig.

Vern you would need to see this flash in person to know why I am disappointed.

This is not a good place to get your needs, as it is the company store and full retail. But they do list everything even what would be out of market for most of us. flashabou Its great for the hard to find items
