Took the wife out for some crappies today. Got to the lake at 10am and the water is stained from previous storm. It was kind of chilly morning and I wasn't sure how the cold front and the storm would affect the bite. At first it was a slow start getting one or two from the trees and we started to head out to COE's brushpiles. First two piles nobody was home or either they're not hungry. After 10 minutes we moved to the next brushpiles. We ended the day with 28 keepers and 7 throwbacks. The bites were soft or next to nothing. Several times where we just reeled the line in and there was fish at the end of the line. Wind and temperature in the afternoon just right. All fish caught with minnows in 20 to 25 fow. It was a tough day. We had to work extra hard to get them. Saw lots of fish and you literally had to put it in their faces.  Beautiful View

Great pics and sounds like a great day on the water. Lake Ray Roberts is the reason I Crappie fish today. The magic of that lake is real.
