Any news on where the bait is (shad spawn over) - What part of the lake is producing? Water temps?

just fish any pocket, some produce better than others, but all are producing. You will catch a lot of small fish but there are several good ones mixed in. A-rig, chatter bait, spinner bait, and a square bill. all in shad patterns. every where you go there are shad not a shortage this year. good luck

Went out 11/7/15

Fished from Cedar Bayou to Lowe's - the bait was flopping in the backs of every creek but no activity. Caught one dink 10" largemouth in the mouth of Lowe's. Noticed that all of the creeks are like chocolate milk - Cedar Mills, 277 bridge, Lowes. etc. Water temp was 67 - 68 and you would think fishing would be great. I know there will is a BLT tournament today and next week so it may be interesting.

Noticed that you had a great day out on Texoma - what was the water clarity like?

Looks like top 5 teams for Bud Light did pretty well with 12 + pounds. I guess I have to fish a little harder and smarter.

Just use crankbaits or jerkbaits by rock the fish will find you then and you won't have to find the fish

Winds were up yesterday and that probably kept boats from running much. Should be in the 20+ lbs range this time of year. I was out of Highport yesterday and the waves were quite fun. After next week's tournament I'll share more openly but I have a friend fishing it next week.

coolj. was out there yesterday morning for about three hours and zeroed. water was in the 67-68 degree range as pointed out above and was as muddy as i've ever seen texoma. wind was blowing pretty hard which made running a little exciting. we actually had the boat come completely out of the water on several occasions at the mouth of creeks and we werent running hard.
all our usual smallie patterns produced nothing but with the water as muddy as it was we werent surprised. bait fish were everywhere.
once the junk settles out it should be pretty good fishing. now we need a few weeks without rain to let that happen.
btw. keep an eye out for floaters. there are some nasty things scattered around.

Thanks guys - I think it all depends where you were fishing. I believe the muddy water has a lot to do with the fishing and that I'm not that bad of a fisherman.
