Went Wednesday, caught 12 keepers-4 1/2 largest, caught about 35 fish. Best fish on topwater, others on swimbaits and wacky worms. Fish were shallow early, then they moved to end of boat docks. Overcast till 11:00 then sunshine. We fished mainly around Horseshoe Bay area. Water color was good. Good luck.
Saturday wind and rain , green pumpkin baby brush hog, one knocker trap , lower end , chunk rock ,docks were a plus but rock and grass were key , awesome pattern ,sweet fishery , all fish fat and healthy .
Let me explain. Our club was fishing a tournament at LBJ and our treasurer was fishing the grass at the dam when a guy on a jet ski came by dropped a line in the grass and pulled out a hog. Our treasurer didn't have a scale with him but measured the bass at 28" and guessed it at 12+ lbs. He said it could have gone 13+ and I will tell you that this ol man knows his stuff when it comes to weights and guess's. Our BB was was 7 lbs.
Went to LBJ yesterday afternoon. I got to fish a couple of hours. Because of time constraints I had to stay in the upper Colorado arm. Had a good day. Caught fish on a chartruse square bill around the docks and timber. ONe of those was a nice fat spot. Also caught them on a worm fished around the wooded docks. Funny they were holding there and not on the pipe docks. Saw one other fishing boat while I was there. Good time. Water temp 68=71.
