Getting reports from several folks that the striper fishing at Texoma is picking up. We've all been praying that things will turn around in the month of November.

A friend of mine went out Saturday and caught more than a limit. Fish were 18 to 24 inches in length. Great news!!

Small stripers (I'd say a year old) have been popping all over the middle of the lake around 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. Birds were working heavily yesterday. I guess they love that light rain. smile

Very encouraging for those of us who call Lake Texoma "home".

thumb Awesome. I took my son (Walker) out there this time last year. Caught a few fish. I need to take him up there again when the fishing heats up.

Jay, so true. Yesterday birds were working etc. but fish wouldn't cooperate.

I was up there yesterday, can't believe how dirty the water still is. You could only see a chartreuse lure down about a foot. Marked fish everywhere, but none would hit. Found loons close to TI point and lots of activity, no hits.

Diel11....you are so right. I went out to Cedar Bayou the other day and fished the hump looking for some sand bass. Very, very murky water.

I haven't found semi-clear water until I get a couple of miles east of North Island. If it rains today like forecast, it'll be worse.

Water temperature was 69F the other day.......I'm wondering if the lake is turning over...or getting ready to.....

IT's all my fault. I moved my boat to a storage place right behind the Mobil station on Highport Rd. last winter so I could get in more fishing on Texoma. Was going to take it out in the spring but went with Chris instead. Never got it out once.
