I can recall back in the early 60's, a Bream hole in 30 foot water known as the "Ant hill".
It was right dab in the middle of the lake in trees shown in the pics. We would use a 14' john boat with a 9.9hp Johnson, 3-4 thousand crickets on hand, cooler full of drinks, sandwiches and such and proceed to load the boat. Floating fish baskets were used to keep the "titty bream" in them and they used an inverted washing machine for fish cleaners. Cut the heads off, load the washer and it was fish fry time! This all took place out of Solan's landing. I hope the Sepulvado's kept the place running after Mr. Jake passed.

Nope. 21' bass boats didn't exist back then - that 15' stick steering rig w/ 50 HP was top of the line.

Also, no Power Poles needed. Just tie up to a TREE .... a short one if you were smart.
