So I took my Ram in for a Recall to replace Tie-Rods. The Dealer says they like to re-align the front end when they replace tie rods. Makes sense to me. Cost is $100. So why should I have to pay for the alignment? It was aligned BEFORE they did the recall. Service Rep just laughs. That's why the dealer does not get my service business.

That's not correct. The alignment should be covered under the recall. Report them to Dodge and you will get your money back from them.

I can promise you, they were not supposed to have charged you for that! Get your money back! If you can send me the info on the truck, then I can send you a copy of the recall where it states that the alignment is included!

Got it done. No charge for the alignment after I talked to Fiat-Chrysler outside the dealership.

I have to agree with others sounds like the service advisors was trying to double dip. Id stay away from that dealership. Obviously don't care about their customers there. That is just flat out wrong!

That's why they call them stealerships.
Some recalls don't cover 100% of the cost though. My GM dashboard issue had parts covered but not labor due to the high mileage on my vehicle.
On tie rod replacement, they should obviously cover an alignment though.

That is just flat out wrong! The ONLY time my truck goes to a dealership is for recall stuff. I learned my lesson. That said, there is more to the story. I pick the truck up, drive home, get out of the truck and notice a scratch on the driver side rear door that was not there when I took the truck in. The porter conveniently stood between me and the door when he brought the truck out. Anyway, I get home, notice the scratched door and drove right back to the dealership. I was ready to do battle, but they did not argue one bit about it. They called a body man back in (this is about 630 PM) and had him buff out the scratch before I took it home. Of course I did not get home till about 9pm. That should be the last time that dealership ever sees my truck.
