TNT Wadda Bomb Jig

For those days in Winter that are just nasty, I go for this jig in the brown color. It's a 1/2oz jig with a natural rubber skirt. The head on it is somewhat flat and that helps it stand up in a defensive crawfish position. Be sure to pair with a craw that does NOT have a lot of action. Everything in the water is dead and dull in the Winter. Nothing is peppy or happy, all predators and prey in the water are sluggish and "bleh".

Fish Head Spin

For those times that I see a bunch of shad balled up in the creek channels in deep water, I throw one of these in 1/4oz. This particular bait seems to work better at slower speeds than other spin heads. I always thread a Zoom Super Fluke Jr. in Pearl on the back.

Picasso School E Rig Jr.

If I'm going for 5 big ones, I go for the umbrella rig. This particular umbrella rig is really balanced so it stays upright even on a fast retrieve. And the wires are more durable than others.

I most definitely work a suspending jerkbait. I prefer the Provoke 106X by 6th Sense or a Rapala Shadow Rap.

If they're not eating a jig then I'd probably tie on a jig. Then if THAT didn't work I'd tie on a jig.
