This weekend I'll be going to my best friends place in Fort Worth. We plan on fishing all weekend and love our catfishing. He has a little 10ft jon boat with a 3 hp yamaha that he loads on the jeep. Last trip we did went to 2 different lakes. First was mountain creek lake and fished there for about 5 hours with about 7 small keepers. We decided to move to eagle mountain lake where we fished until about 5 am and got nothing. Saw millions of shad that we were driving over for over 100 yards. Fished in the shad, nothing.
Hopefully my pics load.
On mountain creek we fished the circled cove area.
Eagle mountain we started up the river with the small red arrow for bout 45 min with nothing. Then moved out and fished the mouth of it. The yellow arrow down is where we drift fished where we caught texas a few times ( almost landed it). After fished those to small red circles where we saw all the shad. Finally fished the bigger part with no luck and finished off by drifting down the big yellow arrow with not a bite.. bait we had, cut carp, gizzard shad, livers, stink bait.
My buddy even laid down on the seat and when he tilted his head back his 85$ headlamp went over board lol, sad day.

So anyways I'm going back up there this weekend for my birthday fish trip and are hoping to do a little better. Maybe catch trophy.

Hopefully maybe someone can point me in the right direction to have some better luck. Not looking for a handout, we are just really new to these lakes and used to fishing the brazos in waco.
We are open to fish any other lake, those were just the 2 we chose at the time.
Thanks in advance

Did you chum any? If not get a bag of range cubes. You might want to try Lake Grapevine. I posted an area holding fish on here about 2 weeks ago. PM me for more details
