Just started fly fishing about a month ago, to say I'm hooked would be a understatement. I know were towards the end of perch, sunfish, bluegill etc. season, but I was curious to know what fly you have had the best luck on after locating them? So far a olive scud was recommended by a friend, what else?
Thanks!

Yep. All of the above. Also, pretty much any trout flies you have on hand will be good bream flies. And we cannot omit the cap spider

Bettis poppers, foam spiders or hoppers and olive hares ears have all worked well for me. They aren't very picky though as I've also caught them on san juan worms, prince nymphs, muddlers, etc.

I like streamers, usually size 8 - 10 for larger sunfish. I really like this one in olive. They can't resist the legs. Available at Big Fly

#12 parachute adams type fly for surface...#10 black wooly bug type fly for sinking. I fished all fall with all kinds of home made creations and have come to the conclusion that with perchy fish it flat out did not matter what the fly looked like

Yep, love the fancy spiders. The bass were destroying my Betts poppers while I was fishing for sunfish in the spring. The foam spiders held up much better.
