Short and to the point. Lake Stamford is 1.7 feet low going into the colder months. Fishing is poor to mildly good for crappie and bass. The flood earlier scattered the fish in the new flooded vegetation it seems, as the people fishing the dam have not had much luck. Bass Tourneys have had poor results with sometimes only one or two fish being weighed in. Effect of Golden Algae kill is being considered by the fishing crowds.
Ft. Phantom is now apprx. 5.0 feet low. Last rain helped with scalping of the Brazos injecting lots of new water. Fishing for crappie has been very slow, it looks like the colder water temperaturs plus the muddy water have had their effect.
Good Fishing, Mud-Dabber
