Saw latest red tide update on TPWD dated 10/26/15 with no mention of SPI or Brazos Santiago Pass. Checked fishemilio website for 2 days and it said no red tide. Called Quickstop bait &tackle and they said there is still red tide on the surf. I like fishing the north jetty at this time for reds and mangos. So if anyone went fishing there please help before i waste gas. thanks.

11/02/15 report from TPWD states low concentrations of red tide on SPI beach and at the jetties. Confirmed from friends who went to fish last week before the cold front over the weekend at the jetties that there was no red tide or its aerosol effects. They actually caught some pompanos and Spanish macks. Today the water clarity is clear blue green so am waiting for reports from friends who went fishing.

I would have hoped the rain and winds would have cleared it up , I was there three weeks ago and it was lousy . It was hard just walking on the beach .

The water clarity had been consistently clear blue green for 3 days now and no hint of red tide. Spanish mack, pompano and baby jacks are being caught with some mullets. Still waiting for the mangrove snappers to show up. This weekend's cold front will just mess up the water again though.
