My rain suits are in good shape but are starting to let water in.... What is the best way to "refurbish" them? I have heard of something u wash them in and something you spray on them.

Thnx in advance

use scotch guard waterproofing after each wash and you will be good ... this is the same process I used to use with my military gortex back in the day

Revive x has worked for me. I have one of the original gore Tex suits and it still works.

Several brands have very good DWR (durable water repellent) polymers that you can "wash-in" or spray on the garment to restore the water repellent properties.

GearvAid ReviveX
Scotchgard Durable Water Repellent
Nikwax TX Direct Waterproofing

throw them in the dryer, it forces the gore tex fibers to stand up and bead water again.

Wash and then apply Revive X for me, too. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
