Looking to fish a back seat but not be attached to a partner.
Looked at Cowboy division and Ram.
Any others?

BFL or Ramseries. I believe BFL still uses linking, but you should be able to find a boater link by posting for one on their web site.
I have fished both as a boater, and they are both good tourneys. BFL is definitely a more mature series.
I believe you can help ensure getting paired with a boater if you enter early.
I am tentatively planning to fish the ABA Ram Series this year as a boater. Maybe I'll see you there!

The best chance for not linking will be the Ram Series or one of the regional ABA tournaments. All ABA tournaments are draws and no linking is required. Here's a link to the ABA divisions in Texas. http://www.drawtrail.com/Map.php?State=TX&Search=Search
