I prefer silent if I can get away with it. It's more natural than rattles. I especially love silent when I know a lot of people are throwing squarebills.

Silent unless the water is REALLY murky. Then I grab one with rattles.

Even silent ones are noisy from the hooks rattling against the body!

Obviously not as loud though!

I like silent and large. At least that's what I prefer and have the most confidence with. I suppose any of those variations might be best for certain situations- just depends.

I like the 2.5 size. Silent most of the time. Color doesn't matter as long as it's Sexy Shad or Chartruse Sexy Shad. grin

I guess I go against the grain but I like mine rattling, unless the water is very clear. If one is not working, try the other.

I like both. If there's a lot of pressure on the area you're fishing, try a silent 1.5 in <5ft and 2.5 in <7ft.

Yes, I throw both. Here is a link to an article I wrote last year about this subject.

Hopefully, it will help. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

In muddy water I will throw one with rattles! Now with clear water or water with lots of fishing pressure I will throw silent crank bait.
