I fished Dale Hollow years ago with Billy Westmorland if you can find a guide 1/2 as good on smallmouths as he was you are in for a heck of a trip.

Fished Dale Hollow quite a bit the last 6 years. I would recommend Bobby Gentry or Greg Brisendine for that time of year. It only gets better the later you get in the month of November and all of December. You can't go wrong hitting main lake points in the mid lake area, especially ones that intersect the main river channel. Drag a 3/4 oz football jig in a natural pattern with a twin tail slow in 15-30 ft and you'll get bit. The closer to the ledge of the river channel on the end of the point the better. Secondary points with bait nearby are also nice areas to drag a jig as well. Love fall/winter fishing there. Good luck!

Don't know if I could be much help. Went there 55 years ago on a family
vacation. I was 14. Caught a 3# Smallie. That's about all I remember.
