I know the longer the better but is anyone running a 45in shaft on their pontoon?

Yeah I just had a awesome deal come up on a 82# I would hate to let slip away but I know I'm pushing it with that 45". I was I hoping someone would have that shaft length.

Hey Justin-
I know a have read on my pontoon forum where there are Some Running that shaft when that question has come up before but I can't imagine it would Do you much good if the water has any chop at all-

Don't have a toon, but I have a 60" motor on my Seaark and was thinking about having it cut down. One trip in Trinity Bay changed my mind on that The prop doesn't go you a lot of good when it's out of the water.
