Recessed Trolling Motor Tray? I'm looking at upgrading to a Minn Kota Fortrek. Which model do you all like R&R, Comfortroll, or Troll-Eze? Others?

I will be doing the r&r only down side I see is no template and you need to drill a hole for the drain. But if you can't make your own template you shouldn't be cutting on your boat in the first place.

Here is the lowest price I have found for a r&r

Very tough unit.YOU COULD DRIVE OVER IT WITHOUT HURTING IT. Looks good is good. Has a lip the sets on top of the floor. I can stand inside of it at 300lb's without hurting it. Who would want plastic and why? Are you kidding me plastic? Plastic cost more. How stupid is that? Plastic get's old and cracks. Plastic are you kidding me? Won't rust. Light weight. Be smart.

TAKE A PHOTO HOME NOT THE FISH. CATCH AND RELEASE
Set the hook first and ask questions later.

To each his own I guess. 5yrs and no problems with my pro control, even if it is "plastic ". It also hasn't rusted.
This whole plastics might be a coming thing.... who knows - next thing you know they'll be making car parts and stuff out of it..

I bought the R&R. Nice study aluminum design. Used a piece a cardboard as my templet. Very simple, just take your time and use quality jigsaw blades.
