Anyone been to Joe Pool Lake recently? I know water levels are up again after the past two weeks but trying to find a place to go that is close to home.

Located in Mansfield.

i was out yesterday. launched out of Lloyd Park. Dock almost under water, creeks out of the banks, trash everywhere, timber floating all in water. It was quite the mess. I caught a bunch of smalls and a few overs. I know a 8.5 plus was caught also.

Water was high last Thursday, dark like chocolate milk. The kayak launch is probably flooded from this weekends rain. The bank area back in the creek was about a foot away from being flooded out, so I assume it is flooded now.

You will have to put in at the swimming area or boat ramp to get to the creek. However..... There are catfish everywhere. laugh

I usually put in right at the oasis. Where is the kayak launch?

I've never had any success on that lake. I would also favor Arlington. Has produced far better for me.

Where on Arlington would you recommend. I've been once and put in at Bowman Springs Park. Went around the pier, and along the private docks but didn't find anything.

Both Arlington n Joe pool r tougher lakes that hand anglers nothing frequently.
Bowman springs on LA is a fine place to launch and cost anglers zilch.
Find the bait, structer, channels, flats drop offs, and look for patterns on both lakes.
(study the lake) Cats n LMB r good on both lakes. Fishing for multiple species on these
waters is the only way for me.

WRONG !!!! You need a sticker to launch on Arlington.... just keep breaking the law, they will catch you sooner or later!!!!!

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!
