Have you tried PowerPro 6/20 on them? I've tried it on Zebco 11, Pfleuger US,and others and it will not flow off the spool.Does the line conditioner really help that much?
I think Power Pro 6/20 is too heavy for the Zebco 11. The 2/10 works well. The Reel Magic does help a great deal. Ten pound line should be heavy enough for crappie.

get you an old johnson century. They did a modern version and its good too but the old ones are better. around 12. to 28 bucks, ebay
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

My dad bought them for me because Johnson's is what Virgil Ward used. I have a couple of Daiwa Silvercast 100A's I purchased from Academy on clearance. They are spooled with 8 pound mono and work great for crappie. Reggie

I want a spincast reel, I cannot use spinning due to a wrist injury. If that is the reason that you're wanting to go with a spincast, I would suggest that you just choose a level wind reel. There is very little 'casting' done when crappie fishing, as most of it is vertical presentation. A level wind reel has many advantages over a spincast. I think Mr Crappie brand makes an inexpensive, light weight level wind casting reel specifically designed for crappie fishing.
