I've never killed a Yote, never had the opportunity. That said, I'm such a dog lover, it would almost be blasphemous to shoot one. But I think I could muster up the intestinal fortitude to pull the trigger.

Cool pic, thanks for sharing. I have some yotes that cross my pasture going from the creek bottom towards town and back. Wouldn't shoot one that wasn't being a nuisance though....like to watch and listen to them at night

Nice pic Last one I saw in Flower Mound was crossing the road near GV Lake with a snake in it's mouth taking it someplace for breakfast maybe with pups not sure. If I lived on a ranch and they were bothering livestock or killing chickens I would try to get rid of them otherwise just leave them alone.

I will not shoot them unless they pose a threat to my dogs or family.

They get a bad name because we tear down their habitat to build developments and then they have to use our backyards to find food and survive. I have always liked yotes and wolves. They are just wild dogs.

Not looking to start an argument but coyotes are opportunist. True, urban development has taken away a lot of their habitat but even coyotes that live way out in the country will still kill chickens, lambs, cat, dogs...etc. They are always on the lookout for an easy meal(as most all predators do) and I think this is where they get their bad reputation. They adapt well and are survivalist.
To whom much is given, much is required.

Saw a pair of yote's working the high side of the ranch Thursday.. both looked like the one in the photo.. bucks running doe all over the place just in time for the gun opener.. might pull the trigger on a spike or two but the yotes get a pass.. hopefully they will take a pig or two or twenty
