Hoping to taker the kids fishing this weekends, do you guys know if the storm has changed patterns too much? Don't mind getting skunked, but with 4yo and 6yo it is different...
Maybe I'll look for flounder and just hope they catch something on shrimp and fishbites?

Good Luck, after all the rain the past couple of days, I'm pretty sure it is a [censored] shoot now.

Kee-rap! It was bad enough getting up to be on the water at 7:40 AM, but now sunrise is 6:40!

And remember, flounder limits just dropped to 2 per person for November and half of December.

just returned from Galveston from a weekend of fishing... or a weakend of fishing, I'm not sure. lol
Bite was slow, some slot reds, bull reds, specs, flounder in the freezer though. thought the tent was going to float away a couple of times. A lot of rain and very windy too. Fished at and near SWP, crossed the inter-coastal and fished off Bolivar, and fished the docks at the yacht basin. also fished the 61st pier on Thursday night and saw some huge bull reds pulled up. By Friday, the surf was crashing into and over the new addition to the 91st pier. anyway, brought home 10 nice size flounder for the freezer.

Probably won't be able to go anytime soon. My schedule and the kids' schedules are a mess, will get better later this month, maybe rains will have calmed and fish can be more predictable.
They are psyched about getting a flounder.
