I'm going to pour and powder coat a bunch of slabs tomorrow and I've never used them before. What colors or patterns do you suggest that I do? I also have some holographic foil to use on them.

With the current size of the shad in most lakes right now, smaller is better. Anything over 5/8 oz. will be ignored by most white bass. For hybrids, bigger is better. Chartreuse and white are my colors of choice. After three days on Tawakoni, I molded up a bunch of 5/8 oz slabs. The 3/4 oz slabs were hit about 1/2 as often as the smaller slabs. Good luck. I did catch a 5.5# hybrid on a chartreuse 5/8 oz. slab. It is the size of what they want right now.

We are making lots of 1oz and 1.5oz in this silver color! Most anglers keep lures tied on rods from a previous trip! Get in the boat next week, get on the lake, run into fish, and cast the same lure they had on last week. If you only throw Chartreuse........It's a great color smile It's like dateN gals......some like tall, some like short, some like blondes, some don't? Yellow Chartreuse and Pearl white will catch. I like shinny silver and flash! Good luck this winter! It will be time to put up slab spoons and dead stick when water temps near 60 degrees
