The Helix is a Humminbird product. The Helix 12 won't be on the market until about Feburary.
The Helix 5 and 7 are already out with the Helix 9 and 10 maybe in November.
Pros: they are Humminbirds
Cons: they are not available yet

The Helix 12 is in fact Humminbird and is available for purchase now. The older Hummbirds are being replaced with the Helix series.... The smaller Helix graphs have proven to be fairly good units so one can assume and hope that the larger units will be reliable and good. The price on them varies depending on the model but either way you go they are prices fair for a 12" unit.

Might be able to pre order a Helix 12 but they are not released yet I stand corrected. I looked a couple weeks ago and seen that they were available for purchase (pre order) and thought that they were available now. I'm glad I went with the Garmin so I didn't have to wait. I apologize for my comment above and you are correct they are not released yet.
