I'm am updating my graphs on my rug and I'm going to have to drill 2 one inch holes in the top cap. What's the best way to do this without damaging the fiberglass and clear coat? Thanks in advance.

Put Tape over the fiberglass before cutting? That's what I've done

Using a power drill . Drill in reverse over the tape until you get through.
