I could afford 1500 bucks for a rain suit, no way I am paying that , maybe if I were a guide or a pro fisherman, then at least i may qualify as a pro staffer and get it cheaper.

No need for anyone to get chapped over a rain suit discussion.
Like Fouz said, "Thank your stars you have a choice".
There is a suit for every need and every budget.
I've been happy with my Pro Qualifier suit for about four years now but the jacket is beginning to show some significant wear.

Rainy days are some of my favorite time on the water so staying warm and dry in comfort is important and just adds to the enjoyment. Not happy about the cost but I'll be picking up the ProDry suit in the next week or two.

Combine Adam Smith and PT Barnum and you get the greatest engine of progress ever conceived by man. I may ride around the lake in a fancy boat with a mini HD camera strapped to my melon using a rod reel set up that cost more than grand pappy's boat, but by god I draw the line at a 1500 dollar rain suit. At least until oil prices come back.

Always a comedian.

I'm going to be shopping for a new suit this winter. I have some Cabelas Guidewear that have been with me for the last 17 years.

I'll look at the Simms at Cabelas but being more practical I'll probably find some new Guidewear. I don't believe the 100 mph and Cabelas rainwear could be half as good as the Simms but we'll see.

Cabelas doesn't sell the Simms. Or at least the one in north Ft Worth doesn't.

if you will look around you can get a deal on simms. My friend paid around 700. I will buy a pair when I get around to it.

Just be prepared for others to think you're a bit crazy when you tell them how much it cost for whatever it is that floats your boat, especially on an open forum.

Do I really need two HDS 12 touches on my boat? Hell no! Am I the guy that get's laughed at when I only bring one fish to a weigh in if that but has huge graphs. Probably! Do I give a $&@)...??? What do you think...

Love the review and like seeing Simms making some noise in freshwater fishing. I just have to save up to buy the wife a Louis Vuitton before I can get a set. It isn't happening anytime soon lol

A 1000+ dollar purse... Now that is just $&@"-?: stupid... Try telling my wife that and I'll gladly take any volunteers. That's one path you DO NOT want to travel.

Be happy she only buys 1000 dollar+ purses. It could be way way worse. Lol

Hey if the OP has $2500 for a rain suit so be it. bolt

Seriously its all relative. To some people $1000 (the actual price the OP said the suit was) is like $20 to us regular folks.

I am in the market for new rain gear. And will look for reviews of products more in my price range. That is all.
