Just thinking and figured I'd ask.

When all these fish follow the bait back in the creeks how many of them stay? Do they go do their feeding then head back to the main lake?

so here's the great part about the fall, they are chewing more than any other time of year. here's the bad part, they can be anywhere and tend to move... a lot. each lake is different as far as how they pattern. on fork there is a lot fish in creeks and pockets right now. however if you can locate the schools of main lake fish, they will tend to stay more in an area for you. best advice i can give you is cover water as fast as effectively possible (love a variety of crankbaits for this right now) and when you get bit, fish hard because they are not alone!

when i slow down i use a flipping jig, shakey head and wacky worm, depending on depth and conditions.

I really believe they follow the shad back out. Now there will always be resadential fish in the back of the cove all year around

I've always believed fall bass are trying to put on weight for the winter when their metabolism slows way down. I feel they are following the primary forage of that lake aggressively. Each lake is its own thing. Flats early and late near creek channels in the larger coves is a good bet. Or cover near bends in the creeks. If you find the forage the bass will be nearby. It doesn't have to be in and out of coves.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

So far about like I expected they are just every where all depths on the move. Main lake points secondary points, channels, flats .. all the way back in the creeks, marinas.. Cover water throw confidence baits
