Went to Eagle Mountain today to see if the fishing has straightened out any. Got several customers
wanting guide trips and it has been really bad the last couple weeks. The lake is in full blown turn over now. It is really scummie. Found few very few fish. everybody who fishes EM take a long nap or go fish for crappie .

Thanks for the report Johnny. I was out there yesterday. I could find fish in couple of places on sonar, but could not get them to bite.

Same results for sandies last two trips on EM. I did slab up three blues near dam. The chrome Ole Ugly did work well on Ray Roberts last week.

This lake is full of shad. It is hard to compete with all the bait down there.

Shad is every where . The key is to find shad that have fish in them. The fish or so scattered
just not schooled up. When I find shad that have fish in them they will bite. The shad are hugging the bottom
and I suspect a lot of people think they are sandbass. They react like this during lake turnover.

Did anybody try Eagle Mountain today?

Got my rear handed to me today. We fished from 8am until 1pm and caught 1 12 pound flat head on a slab. I fished for crappie around docks...goose egg. We fished for largemouth...... goose egg. We definately put some time in trying to buy a sandbass bite....goose egg. The only good thing was that I had my mom and daughter with me to give me a hard time about not finding fish. The lake does look a lot better and there is still a ton of bait. I just need to get the fish to cooperate!

Well That don't sound good. I am planning to go tomorrow. Got people who want to go.

Hope your day is better than mine. I don't know if it was me or the fish? Either way it was tough. I have never been so happy to see a catfish! LOL!

Congrats of the nice catfish! I put in yesterday at lakeview about 9 and headed south. About mid lake I spotted birds working. Ended up with 10 keepers and several smalls. It lasted about a hour then the school moved and never came back.. I was fishing a drop off in about 20 foot of water. All fish caught on white and silver spoon. Went to try shallow for a while caught a few small black bass and a 4 small whites. Came back to drop off about 2 and no fish. But it was a pretty good day considering how tough it has been.
