I had a TFO heavy rod I used for t-rig. If fishing more open water shoreline stuff with a frog it would work. In my opinion, I wouldn't use it in heavy cover thick grass. It has a softer tip, and decent backbone, I prefer something a little heavier to get them out of thick mats. Coach

I have that rod. Don't use it much. Your welcome to try it out. It is a heavy action in my opinion.

I do a lot of frog fishing. I tried one of the TFO Heavy 7"3 rods a few years ago. You can launch a frog with the 7"3. I feel it has the perfect tip action so you can walk the frog. It has a lot of backbone to get them out of the thick stuff. It is also a light rod that will not wear you out. I fell in love with it. Now I have two of them. I was going to cut it down to 7" to make it stiffer. I am glad I didn't.Try it you will like it.

Does TFO Make a Frog Rod? 7'3" HVY, something like that Yes.... That's my frog rod and it works great. It's somewhere between a heavy and medium / heavy so you can really launch that frog but still get them out of the thick stuff with some heavy braid on. Worked wonderfully last weekend.

I use this same TFO Hvy 7'3" for frog fishing on Caddo where there is plenty of thick slop and it works well for me. I pair it with 7.1 gear reel and 50 lb braid. I really like all the TFO rods but I haven't used a bunch of others to compare to.

For a frog in thick cover go with the TFO GTS P797. If you want one let me know. I can get you a good price.

Does TFO Make a Frog Rod? 7'3" HVY, something like that The GTS BBC7116-1 7'11" MagH is an excellent frog rod, also the GTSP797-1 7'9" XH is excellent as well for frog fishing and punching/heavy cover.

There you go. I throw my frogs on a Falcon Cara Mike McClelland heavy cover jig rod. Not sure it's the perfect rod either but I liked it better than the TFO. Coach

Most of my rods are TFO rods. There performance is great and as of right now, I don't plan on purchasing any other brand of rod. I have two 7'6" TFO Heavy Action Rods (One for frog, the other for Pitching). I can launch a frog and place em accurately with the TFO. The backbone is strong and can pull a bass out of thick cover.... and with the tip, no problem walking the frog. I've never had an issue pulling bass out of thick cover or taking the frog for a walk. I have several other TFO rods for wormin, crankin, etc. I also have a few TFO Spinning rods for the finesse side. I have other brands of rods rigged up also, but I prefer the TFO's over the others. I'm sure you already know, but they will replace your rod if it breaks, no matter if you broke it or not. I'm only a little over an hour away from their warehouse and I've made the trip a few times to get a rod I've broke replaced. (my fault, not paying attention) I highly recommend TFO, but everyone has their opinion based on performance and comfort. Good luck!

7'3" Heavy Power Tactical Series Rod is what your looking for. Great for frogs, flippin an pitchin, and a lot of other things as well. It's a good rod just give it a shot.
