Just clarifying things. Coming out of the ramp, turn left toward the dam and other areas is wide open to run anywhere, is that right?

Also going toward the river from the ramp, how far can you run up before stopping? Ive never been so its all new to me this weekend.

I saw/heard a guy hit a stump in the middle of the second to last creek on the east side down by the dam. I think the water was low last winter though

Lots of timber around the island

Heading up river I stop when I get to the visible timber. You can run all the way I haven't figured out how yet

Won't be a problem other than dodging coots.

We were the first boat going south Sunday

Running down I saw one in my right and yelled duck
Partner raised up as we ran through a giant group of them

I got as small as I could behind the console but still managed to get covered In water and some white semi liquid

Scared the heck out of us

I was fine all tucked away behind the console until you yelled! I guess that's payback for the pelican incident on lake weatherford LOL!

Haha them freakin coots. Had the same problem execpt one flew in the boat and hit my dad 2 years ago. Was running monticello at night going toward the highway bridge and never saw them til i saw the water start flying amd sure enough i heard a PLOP right in my dads lap. It was actually funny once we got him out.

Thanks for the info guess! I appreciate it. And i wont fish down the middle of the river! I dont wanna get run over lol
