 '01 Yamaha VMAX 225 won't get on plane

Boat ran fine Saturday and I switched over gas tanks for Sunday and my boat wouldn't get on plane. Actually as soon as it broke over on plane it would die on me.
I switched back to my original tank and idled for 30 minutes and tried again and it wouldn't get over the hump. It was real close but it just never got on plane. And it didn't die this time, I just backed off after a while and continued idling.
Any ideas??

I would start by pulling plugs to see if there is anything fouled or build up on the plugs. Could be as simple as a full filter change

I would start by pulling plugs to see if there is anything fouled or build up on the plugs. Could be as simple as a full filter change I will check the plugs. It seems something fuel related and I'm hoping it's something minor

Check o2 sensor if that model has one

Most likely you contaminated the plugs and or fuel filter when you swapped tanks. Get the fuel out of the tank you switch to at first and put 2 cans of Sea Foam in a fresh tank of fuel.
