Im willing to bet that much of stream/river fishing will recover rapidly from the big rains....after next week we may all be fishing smaller water.

Thanks Andrew and Kent for the replies. Andrew: Yes Sir. I figure this if anyone fishes any of the Hill Country Rivers they will catch fish using worms and fishing by grass beds. Kent: We have another five to six inches of rain coming in this Friday and Saturday.

Love those crystal clear water Hill Country Rivers. And the scenery is picture post card beautiful! Miss the Hill Country. Hopefully this spring the Pedernales will have enough water to host a big white bass run out of Travis, like in the old days, and I will get to sample it! I have seen deer, javelina, coyotes, hawks, osprey, wild turkey, bobcat and golden eagles in that beautiful Hill Country! Of course, that was BEFORE all the developers starting riding roughshod over the land. Ah well, progress, I guess some call it.

Thanks Rudy for the reply. Yes Sir the hill country is loaded with awesome places to fish. I have fished the Perdernales River several times this year and the river where I fish is in GREAT shape. The area also has gotten a lot of RAIN and is expected to get a bunch more during the winter. Spring in the hill country is shaping up to be a very good one.

Great pictures, the first one of the scenery was beautiful. That in itself would be worth the trip. Nice fish also.

Thanks guys for the replies. Looks like some cooler weather is setting in. Going to have to look for the sunnies a little harder.

Thanks "Gitter" for the reply! As I have been saying,as long as it does not flood we should have one SUPER spring and summer! Creeks, small lakes and ponds, and rivers are all in pretty good shape!

Yes Sir hopefully no more flooding. We dodged a bullet. Looks like most of this latest heavy rain is heading north towards Dallas!
