On the water at first light this morning fishing shallow and trying to stay out of the wind. Got into them right off the bat on 5 inch swimbaits, spinnerbaits, and assorted plastics. A lot better for me than I've been experiencing. Sure was fun getting thumped hard for a change. Fast and furious for the first hour then had to work to find em. Fished till around 4 p.m. Most in the 15 to 17 inch range. Never got a hook into anything big but missed as many as I caught with several explosions as I lifted bait out of the water that scared the carp out of me. Light drizzle most of the day.. but did get windy. Fished Saturday afternoon as well and caught few in the pads on a different part of lake. Water temps around 69. The fish are definitely getting bigger than what I've been catching.

I was surprised at the color myself. Very hard to see it in the grass with it almost perfectly camouflaged with vegetation.

I sure wish I had been fishing where you were fishing. I fished the BCOE this weekend on fork and never got anything bigger than 16". Caught a bunch of 10's and under but couldn't find the bigger fish anywhere. Over 70 boats and no one brought an over to the scales. If this had been any other lake but fork I would have left the lake with my head hung in shame. Luckily all those dinks counted.

Nice! I'm curious how the water clarity is after the rain. Heading up Halloween weekend, looks like a lot more rain is to be expected.
