I have not seen the. 12 something was winning when I left. Man the lake came up 4 foot with all that rain. It made it hard on us. We caught small ones but no keepers.

We also had several small fish. We did manage one keeper. I am still trying to dry out. This was my first time to fish this but I will definately be back. Lots of fun with my guy.

Weighed in one fish here. My buddy Matt Morgan who rode down with me and his partner Danny Hughes finished 5th with a limit that went 10.27. 12 something win it. There was one guy whose partner never showed up for him that left to go fishing by himself since he had already pulled his boat down who caught a 14 lb limit, but since he had no military service member with him fishing, he was not eligible to win. My rain gear was not so waterproof and tore up my TM, but it was a great event!

This was a great event for a great cause. I called my partner 2 weeks ago and offered to take him out and get to know him. He had never been in a bass boat and I wanted to ensure he felt comfortable. Our first trip out we had a blast.....probably caught 20+ fish in a few hours. We had close to 10lbs and felt like we were going to have a great day tournament day. I was able to sneak away the following week and called him to come fishing with me again. We didn't catch as many, however we had a great day on the water telling stories and relaxing.
Fast forward to tournament morning: My day started off with getting stuck in the mud and having to be towed out to go launch. We were boat 250 and knew our areas we practiced in would be occupied, so we opted to make a run and work our way back. 30 minutes into the morning I whacked a rock and sheered a prop pin on the TM. We repaired it and went on our way. We caught fish all day long as many people did....just not the right size. Despite that.....we had a great day and my service member left with a big smile and a great memory. We weighed in 2 keepers for 3.05. This was my first FFF and not my last.

He start on side of the cove and I started on the other. I started in the wrong spot. Sorry to hear about your TM and it was a great event
