Been fishing the rocks and some light cover with sqaurebills. Been using big game but after maybe 30cast and catching a fee fish with it. It begins to fray abit. Ik its common , but is there a more abrasion resistent mono or coply. I heard suffix tritanium and mccoy are good choices. Give me some options. Thanks
fishing is one thing. catching is another

P Line CXX copoly is very abrasion resistant. So is their Voltage line. I've been testing it out on squarebills specifically around rocks and dock cables, not only is it abrasion resistant but it's strong as all hell. And much less stretch than mono.

If you choose P-Line CXX look at the line diameter on the box rather than the #test rating because it is thicker than most other lines in the same # test rating. CXX 12 is the diameter of most others in 15. CXX is very good line but it starts having a lot of memory when you get into 17# test and higher. One thing you can do is before your fishing trip, tie off the end of the line and back off a good distance and stretch the curls out of the line. That works good.
McCoys is another very good all around line. It is strong and low memory. Its diameter is the same as its # test rating. .015in. is 15 pound test. I use McCoys in 20 and 25 pound test and don't have memory issues but then I am throwing big baits with it also.

I used this many years ago and liked it but at the time it got harder to find locally and that is when I switched to McCoys and P-Line. Now you can find all of them online.

Izorline XXX Super Co-Polymer I've been using this line for a while with really good results. It's super abrasion resistant, not kinky like P-Line CXX and the knot strength of this line is the strongest I've ever witnessed. I highly recommend this if you're fishing around any cover, such as rocks or timber.

Another vote for McCoys Mean Green or Xclear. It is all I use for moving baits since 2000. GREAT abrasion resistance, low memory, and strong as all get out. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

McCoy XClear or Mean Green I don't use McCoy's but I do fish with Karl a bit and when he gets hung up with Its hard to break off. It is stout! We use it as an anchor line so to speak! I fish florocarbon, except for my top water baits and then I use 15 lb big game.

Most people don't know, but to me, the best mono/co-polymer line is Bass-On by Mason Line. I buy it in 1/4 lb spools from Ebay. I get the brown/grey, blends well with dingy water, and is very supple and strong. Reasonable price, too.

Hi-seas grand slam select seems to be pretty good stuff. It's a copolymer. I've tried 10 and 15 lb versions. It casts like mono but is a little tougher and doesn't stretch quite as much. Very little memory (although I haven't had it on a spool for very long yet). Good balance of mono and fluoro qualities.
